Match Summary: On Children-In-Need weekend the management team both pledged £1 for every (Nomads) goal scored and the Nomads kids made sure the donation was a good one! Ten goals in all with five from each half saw Nomads comfortable winners on a cold and wet morning at Boughton Hall.
A blistering start saw Cam play a lovely cross field ball into the path of Leon who with one touch to steady the ball stroked it past the keeper after just 40 seconds. 2 minutes later a Tucker through ball for the ever-alert Shaw saw us 2-0 up and cruising. Two fine strikes from Clarky nearly doubled the lead as one hit the cross bar to safety. The third goal was the result of a great cross field ball by the excellent Josh to Leon who swiftly crossed to Shaw on 20 minutes.
A good speculative shot from Rossway found its way through Fergie due to the now very wet conditions. Nomads picked up the pace and delivered two more telling blows before half time. Both goals scored by James Shaw, one from a huge Fergie clearance where James took the ball on his chest before tucking home and another after another diagonal ball from Josh was sent into the top right of the goal.
The closest thing a keeper can get to a hat-trick was achieved by Ferg as in the second half he added to his assist by creating two more chances for Ethan's cool finish and a Cameron smash. As the rain came down we managed a further three goals after Callum E played the ball down the right to Mitch who finished his run with a shot past the keepers inside post. A tidy side foot from Cameron made it nine before Ethan got his second of the game on the turn.
A very good team performance, solid at the back, combative in midfield and clinical up front. Pudsey will be happy!

Match Summary: Nomads produced a stunning display of pass and move football at The Dale Camp to shoot 6 past Upton and leapfrog into 3rd place in the league.
Nomads started very well with some excellent interchanges across the pitch, carving open Upton's midfield and defence on numerous
occasions. One such attack involved five Nomads players before the ball was put our for a corner. A lovely cross by the impressive Mitchell Mowatt was cleared to the edge of the box. Waiting on hand was Callum Graham who found the only space in the box to slide the ball home.
When you win 6-0 you think it's all about our attacking but much praise has to be placed on our outstanding defence and keeper who looked as strong as ever, battling for everything and ensuring Fergie a clean sheet. The rest of the first half saw Nomads score through Cameron who side footed a volley over the keeper after Jack 'Giggsy' Rogers weaved his way down the left hand side and delivered a pin-point cross to Cam. Also on the score-sheet was James Shaw, played through by Cam and there's only one outcome when James is 1 on 1. 3-0 could have been 4 as shortly before the half time whistle Cam hit the bar.
On a heavy, tighter pitch it is essential we make as much space as we can and today we did it very well. When Upton were in possession we closed down extremely well and as soon as we attacked we opened up play very effectively. Second half goals came from another Cameron Clark shot, Leon's great battling and then very cool finish and one for young Tucker after some fancy footwork from Leon.
Everyone played well today, notable mentions for Mitchell who on any other day would have deserved the MOM award but Cameron was outstanding today in the 'Sherringham' role - showing great skill and awareness as well as bagging a brace. Great result lads, well done.

Result: 3-1
Scorers: James Shaw, Cameron Clark, OG
MoM: James Shaw
Match Summary: A subdued but effective performance from Chester Nomads today; Hard work on a heavy pitch made all the more difficult by some excellent closing down by Neston.
A quiet first half saw Nomads take the lead thanks to James Shaw's anticipation latching onto a through ball by Ethan. Neston rallied well and made it difficult for us by closing down and denying space. Although pitched in their half for most of the game, Neston did manage to break through a few times. On one occasion, they won a corner which somehow found its way through for a simple tap in by the Neston forward. 1-1 at half time, patience was the order of the day as we knew the goals would come.
It took 15 more minutes of one-way play before Shaw crossed the ball firmly and as Clarky was about to stroke the ball home, a Neston defender slid in to put the ball into his own net. Shaw later tried to claim it but we don't even need the dubious goals panel to sit on this one.... it's an oggie James!
As said, Nomads were camped inside Neston's half for much of the second half but again we found it difficult to breakdown the defence. Eventually Cam put the game safe with a cooly taken slot past the keeper with the outside of his right boot. Good solid performance by the team, patient in the build up but we could take more risks in front of goal. Hard work was rewarded for James Shaw's constant running off and on the ball and recognition too to Jordan Rogers who played very well in three different positions!

Result: 1-1
Scorers: Ethan Jones
MoM: Ethan Jones
Match Summary: After an impressive victory last week against Heygarth, Nomads were put up for a tough test today against the formidable Princes Villa. Nomads have found their form and took the game to Villa in the first half, creating many chances and restricting the visitors to long range shots.
A very good defensive display, commanded by Fergie in goal and Ethan in central midfield. Ferg pulled off some fine saves particularly in the second half. A number of first half chances could have given us the lead earlier but let's not worry about that today. After one attack, the ball was rolling towards Ethan who was inside the centre circle when he let fly with a looping shot towards goal. It seemed to take ages and ages to come down, so long it's said that the local air traffic control were guiding it down. When it did it sailed over the keepers head for Nomads to take a deserved lead. 1-0 at half time and playing well.
The second half began with Princes Villa pushing up more and more with both forwards giving our defence a lot of work. The midfield were also kept busy both defending resolutely and trying to create some further opportunities up front. However, it was Villa that scored the next goal when the ball was cleared from a corner only to be played back through the crowd to a Villa striked to turn and score.
We'd have taken a point at the start and we should be very pleased and proud of ourselves for a tremendous performance. I think today's draw will give us the confidence we've needed to go out and beat the current league champs next time. Well done everyone.

Match Summary: Nomads produced one of their best displays of the season today to convincingly beat a stong and inform Heygarth side. Watched by a good crowd of supporters who were once again commended on their positive attitude, Nomads ran out winners in a good game of junior football.
A sleepy start to the game saw Heygarth press forward with strength and some good passing. Within two minutes they passed the ball around us far too easily and slotted the ball past Fergie for a gift start. We responded well and very nearly brought it level from a training ground corner and decent header. On ten minutes we drew level when Ethan played a firm pass through to Mitch who shot across goal to see the keeper parrie and who else but Sniffer Shaw was on hand to score.
On the quarter hour a brilliant dribble down the left by Rogers The Tourmentor was made all the better when Jack sent over an excellent cross for Shaw to control and return the favour to Mitch as he cleverly chipped the ball over the keeper from close range. 2-1 up and we kept the pressure up until half time as we hit the woodwork twice and their keeper saved some more. Great to see both Callum G and Cameron back onto the field of play after their injury enforced break.
The seconfd half belonged to Nomads as we produced some excellent passing and movement. Communication between the team was first class in this half and this showed as we played the ball around quickly with confidence... what a difference a good shout makes. A Leon corner was headed out to Cal G who lobbed the ball back in... as the keeper dropped the high ball, Felix was on hand to drive it over. Shortly after Ethan produced a trademark run and delivered a lovely cross which Shaw converted very well indeed. 4-1 and looking good for it.
A quick reply by Heygarth brought the score to 4-2 before some fantastic interchange play saw Cam set up Jack to fire home into the roof of the net. Another followed soon after as Cameron unleashed a shot that proved to hard for the keeper to hold. A fast counted attack by Heygarth brought them another goal but with our defence playing very well that's all they were going to get from the game today. Credit to all the lads..... WE'RE BACK!

Match Summary: A gift of a start when Mitch burst down the right from a quick through ball by Callum E. Cutting inside Mitch took the ball right to the keeper and slid the ball under his diving body.
Sadly, after that our captain Ethan Jones needed to come off with a bad back which given our already injury hit squad was a devastating blow.
After 7 minutes Dynamos brought themselves back into the game as we failed to put the ball to safety. Another quick response was required and Fergie got us going with a huge kick up field, a Shaw nod on and Charlie putting the ball home well on his debut. Once again though Dynamos pulled the game level after a shot was parried by Ferg but sadly only to the feet of the VCD forward
2-2 and into the second half.... a much quieter affair than the first as the game was played mostly in the middle third. Vicars Cross played the off-side trap many times and I feel sure we beat it a number of times only to be pulled back by the refs whistle. Dynamos scored their third midway through with a chip over our defence and a slot home by the striker.
Nomads battled back well and drew level after a period of sustained pressure when James Shaw went one on one with the keeper and won the race. A fair result in the end, we're finding life difficult at the moment with the injury's - keep going lads, heads up and we'll soon start to get the results we know we can get.

Result: 2-4

Match Summary: A fantastic game of football played at high tempo and with great skill. With Callum Graham and Felix Morriss out already from last week and James Shaw not playing due to illness the spine of the side was completely
disrupted. Despite this set back the lads produced some stunning football and played with grit and determination.
Going one down on the quarter hour Nomads drew level after 25 minutes when a lovely cross from Leon was met and slammed home by Mitchell and so it stayed that way until mid way through the second half.
20 minutes in saw a ball chipped over the top for James Tucker to run onto and provide a cool finish past the Flacons keeper. With legs
tiring Beechwood came back and Nomads were further disadvantaged when Cam Clark limped off with a pulled groin after some terrific play. This seemed to spark a bit of life into Falcons and Nomads found the game getting hard with such a small squad ravaged by injury. In the last 6 minutes, Falcons grabbed three goals to swoop away with a win. A draw would have been a much fairer result as agreed by Beechwood's management.

Callum Ferguson, James Tucker Match Summary:
The proverbial 'game of two
halves' was witnessed at Boughton
Hall this weekend as old rivals CNS
and Nomads played out a tightly
fought encounter. We began the game
with pace and guile and after 15
minutes Nomads were off to a flyer
when Fergie noticed the New Scene
defence napping and launched a huge
kick down field. Clarky was onto it
straight away and was very strong to
hold off the defenders before
putting the ball past the keeper
with his left foot... yes, his left
foot!
We built well on this when after
a strong run down the left by Rogers
he whipped a ball across and behind
the defenders. James Shaw watched
the bounce and sent the ball back
across the goal giving the keeper no
chance - textbook finishing.
The second half began with New
Scene harrying our players more than
they had which caused us problems in
a packed midfield. Mid way through
we suffered a ten minute period when
it all went wrong. First two goals
were conceded with hopeful balls
over the top and then Felix was
taken off injured with a hip injury
after seeing the ball out for a
corner. The ball was crossed into
the 6 yard box and the CNS striker
headed home unchallenged. 2-2. Five
minutes after this, still looking a
bit shaky with New Scene looking
stronger Callum G was chasing a
through ball with a CNS midfielder.
One on one we'd lay money on Callum
clearing this everytime but sadly,
he pulled up with what we now know
as a groin strain leaving Fergie no
chance at all in the big goals. 2-3
down. Pushing forward for the
equaliser naturally created gaps
which whilst we couldn't draw level
allowed CNS to break away and seal
the game.
MOM's Fergie for some terrific
close quarter saves and Tucker for
his endless energy and commitment.
