The third team barren spell continues.. An entertaining nil-nil saw the teams share the points. A good start by the thirds saw Si Alston come close with a shot blocked in the six-yard area. Some fine goal-keeping (from both ‘keepers) in difficult conditions kept both sets of strikers at bay. The thirds’ passing was much improved from recent displays, and even Morgan was reported to have passed the ball on more than one occasion!! It was Hombre who came closest in the end though, hitting the upright with a curler from the angle of the penalty box. Not bad all-in-all, especially after the drubbing they gave us earlier in the season!!
