In what was essentially the championship decider Nomads came away
with a sense of disappointment after a below par performance against
a Villa side that based its game on the long ball and route one
tactics on a small bumpy pitch.
Villa took an early two goal lead following two mistakes and after
initially unsettling Nomads they began to play themselves back into
the game and got a deserved headed goal through Edddy C-J shortly
before the break.
The second half saw even more direct
play by Villa playing at times with two goal hangers possible with
no offside rule.Another mistake gifted Villa another goal and made
it an uphill struggle for Nomads who replied with an excellent goal
by Conner K crafted by the persistence of Jonny P.Wesie B secured
man of the match for the second week in a row.

A very strong start by the nomads saw them take a
two goal lead following a header by the impressive Ben P and an own
goal. Nomads then suffered an injury to
key defender Wes B after twenty minutes and thereafter the Nomads
lost their shape and balance. Eastham
pulled a goal back before half time.
The second half proved to be a bit of a damp squib
and the scoring remained unchanged.

Hardly a bore draw as two very good teams met at
Boughton Hall. The first 15 minutes were
largely dominated by Newton who threw everything into attack and
stand-in keeper Matty W pulled off two fine saves.
Then after tactical changes which saw the arrival of Jonny
P Nomads got the upper hand for the remainder of the second
half with Matty R hitting the post.
The second half began with an end to end first ten
minutes with both sides creating chances before Nomads once again
began to take control of the game and ended looking
most likely to score.
This game was a great advert for children's
football in Chester,
played in a good spirit and a joy to watch.

In difficult conditions chester nomads overcame
their nearest neighbours. The first half was dominated by Nomads who
hit the woodwork twice with an Eddy C-J header and a powerful strike
from Conner K and missed several good chances before conner K
slotted the ball home after Jack P's long range free kick was
blocked on the line by a defender to put the home team one goal
ahead at half time
.Playing into the wind in the second half nomads
fell under the cosh for the first 10 minutes before a wonder goal by
Matty R put the home side two up.He lost two defenders with a
Maradonna turn ,ran in on goal and chipped the ball over the
keeper's head from outside the box.The third was smartly taken by
Eddy C-J which put the game beyond Vicars.following good work by
Jonny P
The away side never gave up however and scored a
late consolation goal.Wesie B and man of the match Ben P looked very
strong in defence and there was good work rate from Jonny P up
front.Once again Danny C looked assured in goal.

After a sleepy start that would have been the envy
of Rip van Winkle nomads eventually woke up and started to play. The
nomads welcomed back leading scorer Conner K who demonstrated why he
is an important member of the squad with a three goal tally
cementing him in place as leading scorer.
Keeper Danny C was in commanding form in goal and
never looked like being beaten.Matty R constantly battled his way
down the left flank and Eddy CJ gave a man of the match performance
down the right .Jack P distributed the ball well in mid field.
The team sent its best wishes to Wesie B currently
ill and missed by the team.

after a fling start in the first five minutes the
game gradually fizzled out as nomads wasted more chances than they
scored in a one sided match.A fine performance by skipper Matty R
was capped by a hattrick. Two bullet headers by Eddy CJ and Ben P
and a goal for an under the weather Jonny P completed the
scoring..
The only excitement in the second half was the
removal of a rock from the playing surface which had no doubt been
thrown up by a steroid munching mole!

A fantastic way to round off the first half of the season with a great
advert for football as top of the
Ellesmere

league met top of the
Mid-Cheshire
league at Boughton Hall.
Tarvin started the stronger and had two or three chances to go ahead.
Nomads appeared slow to start but good keeping by Danny
C
kept a clean sheet in the first half and
Conner
K scored for nomads to put them ahead before
the half time interval.
Nomads came out a different side and began to take control following a
tactical change that saw
Conner

more central role and Eddy C-J
to
move to the right.
Conner made it two before Tarvin pulled a goal back.
Conner then scored twice more to make it a safe win for Nomads.

nomads finished the pre christmas league campaign with another win
leaving them with stats of played 10 won 9 lost 1 which considering
the current squad of 9 players contains 5 new players is really
quite an achievement.
Nomads played very well inthe first half passing the
ball around sweetly at times and an in form jonny p notched two
goals in the first half as nomads were always in control.
The second half saw matty r fire in a vicious corner
that was too hot for the vauxhall keeper to hold to extend the lead.
It should be said that the vauxhall keeper had an outstanding game.
From that point nomads stopped controlling their
possession and allowed their game to become a little kick and rush
and the never say die attitude of vauxhall was rewarded with a goal
near the end.
Once again the defensive unit of wesie b,
nick g
and ben p was impressive.

Nomads bounced
back after their first defeat of the season to win comfortably with
a strong performance against potentially tricky opposition.Their
performance was typified by the constant attacks mounted by captain
Matty R who was a constant thorn in the side of the opposition.
Jack P turned in his first man of the match performance .The
team also looked solid at the back thanks to the good work of Wesley
B, Ben P and Nick G and Dan C was solid in
goal. Eddy CJ
was a livewire and notched a brace as did leading scorer Conner K
and Jonny P added a right foot piledriver.
They say that the sign of a good side is how they

In
many ways a shock result on current form as nomads came into the game
on the back of a fine performance the week before and
Waverton albeit missing two players had lost
4-1 to vicars cross whom nomads beat away 2-1.
However sometimes in football you have to give credit to the
opposition and in this game waverton clearly wanted to win more they
worked harder than the nomads were first to the ball and fully
deserved their victory.
It
will be interesting to see how the nomads react having suffered this
embarrasing
defeat and the loss of their 100% record.Sometimes you have to stumble
to avoid a fall! |

never gave up in what turned out to be a tense local derby.
Nomads never really established total control over their
neighbours despite gaining a two goal lead early in the scond half.
The first just before half time followed a move down the left and
the ball was crossed in low for Eddy CJ to
slot in. In the second half Conner K
extended the lead following a skilfull run on the right and beat the
keeper from a narrow angle. Nomads failed to kill the game off and
CNS managed to pull a goal back which resulted in a tense finish but
Nomads held on to take the points.

What a great occasion this was as the nomads enjoyed their first
evening kick
against
a top
local side.
In
the unique floodlit atmosphere
the oppostion
started strongly and took the lead after nomads gave the ball away in
midfield too cheaply.
However nomads did not panic and kept it tight to the end of the first
quarter.
Jack P came on to play just in front of the back two and Matty F came
on in the scholesie role which seemed to give the side a better
balance and nomads began to take control.
A
through ball found matty f on a through run and he volleyed the keeper
in a contender for goal of the season.
Nomads continued to control the game in the third and fourth
quarters and rarely looked as though they might lose the game and
often looked like scoring.
There was one particular effort by Conner K
when a cross field pass found him on the edge of the box.He dummied
allowing the ball to run through his legs and shot on the turn forcing
a brilliant save by the keeper.
Jack P went close twice one shot and one header and Jonny Parry almost
scored with a one on one with the keeper.
There was a strong performance from Nick G in defence and a
faultless showing by keeper Dan C.
Indeed this was an all round top
performance by a very good nomads side. |

The first half performance from the nomads was a real horror story
as they fell two goals behind with a lethargic performance which
left them staring their first league defeat of the season in the
face. The team managed to regroup at half time and their inept
performance in the first half was matched by the character and team
spirit of the second half that saw them run out winners 3-2.All
three nomads goals followed excellent passing play that enabled
nomads to work through a strong and quick Newton
defence.
Connor
K endrick got the first Matty R equalised and a brilliant mazy run
by eddy C-J was followed by a brilliant finish as he rounded the
keeper.

magnificent performance by the nomads saw them beat one of the

Wesie

this game was the complete opposite to the previous game.
Nomads
started slowly and did not get their passing game going at all in the
first half.
An
early
Eastham goal was cancelled out by a
brilliant backwards header by
Conner
K only for nomads to concede another goal
before half time.
Nomads
were lack lustre with the only bright points being the
goal from CK and a fantastic debut at right
back by

diifferent positions.
The
second half was a
different story altogether with
Nomads
establishing their passing game and
Matty

with a goal to equalise.
Then
following a superb Wesley B free kick
