Lynn Hedgecoe has arranged for free heart screening session for club members, aged 16-35 years old.
You can arrange your session at Eaton Golf Club next Sunday by dropping Tracey an email (above).
Lynn says, "VSF, the heart screening charity have arranged around 30 events to date, screening some 2,700 young people. An incredible 4% have been found to have undiagnosed heart conditions.
"We're really grateful to charity partner, Eaton Golf Club for helping out and our thanks go to Roy and Carol Claxton, the Club and everyone who has donated to provide this FREE life-saving service."
Have a read of this note from Sarah who discovered a life threatening condition at VSF's May screening:
"My name is Sarah, I’m 32 and a wife and a mother. I’ve always had a passion for running and keeping fit. I thought I was really healthy.
"But last week, instead of taking part in the Tough Mudder event at Cholmondley Castle, I was in Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital having a lifesaving internal defibulator fitted.
I"f I hadn’t put myself forward to have my heart screened at one of VSF’s heart screening’s, I may well have been one of the 12 young people who collapse and die every week from Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
"If you are aged between 16 and 35 please don’t hesitate to get yourself checked out.
"It’s quick it’s easy, and it’s free. I am so grateful I did."
VSF work in association with Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital and PDS Medical, Blackpool.
