Our new Management Team look forward to the new season

This season will see the first team with a change of management for the second season running.
Former captain Dan Delgado will be Player/Manager and joined by head coach Louis Moss.

Dan has played for the Nomads all his life and has been involved with the first team for the past 15 years.
Louis is returning to the club after a few seasons playing up the leagues but is hoping to bring a lot back to the club that gave him so much as a kid.

When asked his thoughts on the season Dan mentioned
‘I am really looking forward to the new season, last season saw a lot of coming and goings but it gave us a good chance to have a look at some of the younger lads.
We’ve welcomed back a number of old faces and a few new lads to allow us to strengthen the squad from last season and the mentality from all in preseason has been excellent.
We’ve got a difficult start to the season with a game against our local rivals Upton and then an away trip to last years champions Newton but it will be good to see where we are at after a few games.

Louis Moss stated
“Pre season has gone well for the lads this year we’re sort of trying to go in a different direction to previous seasons in terms of playing style and personnel. We had some really competitive games against some good sides and we’ve more then held our own against teams from higher leagues. This season we’re looking for the first team to really impose themselves on the league and make nomads a competitive outfit again. We feel with the lads we’ve brought in along with the lads from last season we can achieve that. We will look to get off to a good start against Upton and hopefully we can push on from there. “
