Pete Dutton 06/09/30 - 29/04/21

Sadly a long standing member of both sections passed away recently.

Pete Dutton first played for the Nomads in 1946 - and then against them the same season for the Kings School.  A goal keeper in his peak who played as an amateur for Chester City in the 1947 season

He enjoyed many years playing and particularly with his pal, Kevin Jewsbury for the 3rd team in the late 70s.

In 1982 he started umpiring for Boughton Hall - his obvious highlight being to officiate the all conquering West Indian team - including Sir Vivian Richards -  for Sylvester Clarke's Testimonial at Filkins Lane in 1982.

He went on to umpire for many years, for all CBH teams before moving to become one of the panel of umpires in the Liverpool Competition.

After eventually hanging his umpiring pumps up, he continued to support as a spectator and was present to watch 1st team games right up to the end of last season.

A really lovely bloke who will be very sadly missed.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
