Bad start to the season for the firsts, just never really got going. Missing quite a few players and it showed in the end.

Bootle fully deserved the 3 points and 1-2 flattered us really. Big improvement needed for next week against Vauxhalls Reserves

West Kirby U18s 2-3 Chester Nomads Development

Chester Nomads Development began their CWFL Championship campaign in sensational fashion, coming from 2-0 down to secure a dramatic 3-2 victory away at a well drilled West Kirby U18s side.

The Devs started slowly and went behind after around 20 minutes, but the goal sparked a response as Nomads grew into the game and finished the half strongly.

After the break, Nomads took control of the contest but were caught on the counter to fall 2-0 behind with around 30 minutes remaining.

What followed was a brilliant comeback. A long Adam Butt throw caused chaos in the West Kirby box, with a defender glancing the ball past his own keeper to give Nomads a lifeline.

Moments later, George Cartwright volleyed home to level the scores.

Man of the Match - Bobby Bain

With Nomads now firmly on top, the winner arrived with a minute to go. James Maloney sent a ball forward, turning defence into attack, which was latched onto by Nick Crouch, who lobbed the West Kirby keeper to put the Devs 3-2 ahead and spark wild celebrations!

Nomads held firm through a couple of minutes of stoppage time to secure a superb comeback victory and start the campaign with three points.

Man of the Match - Bobby Bain.

Excellent in midfield, commanding the centre of the pitch and driving Nomads forward throughout. Only a goal was missing from a brilliant individual performance.
