1st Team with Chester Cup Semi Final Win!

It was a Good Friday to remember for our 1sts who have made it into the Chester Cup final after a very eventful game vs the Waggon and Horse.

It didn't start well for the boys as we saw ourselves 1-0 down within the first 5 minutes. After that they managed to get a hold of the game. 25 minutes in with a bit of magic by Emile in the box and a penalty was awarded. Sam Spridge stepped up and there was only one outcome.

As the momentum was starting to swing, 1-1 quickly went 2-1 with another Sam Spridge goal which curled past the keeper into the bottom corner.

The second half whistle went and the Waggon came out swinging. A few big chances for the opposition, but our defence was brilliant with soaking up the pressure from their forwards. a second penalty was awarded to the Nomads, but the less talked about that one the better 😉.

With more opportunities heading our way in this half a third penalty was awarded with 15 to go. Brandon calmly finished it into the corner to give us a two goal cushion. A late consultation goal for the Waggon ended the game 3-2.

MOM. Sam Pickering. He's been an absolute rock for the boys since coming back to the club. Games come thick and fast though for our lads, as we have another big fixture against Heswall in the league on Saturday.
