One of the most chaotic games I’ve ever been apart of, for large parts of the game we were completely out played by a very very good team in Newton. Forced us to change shape and personnel early than I wanted to. But this one is all about a bunch of players who never give up.
Brandon Dickinson come on and changed the game and bundled his way through for a goal. An own goal for us aswell, all before club legend and captain James Tucker popped up with a very rare goal to equalise late on. Nobody deserves that moment more than him on his 30th birthday weekend.
MOM Andy Metcalf, against good teams you need a good goalkeeper, and luckily for us we’ve got the best in the league. 2 top saves in the game and then standing up yet again in a penalty shootout to save 2 penalties and send us to the Pyke cup final for the first time ever.
This group of players deserve to be playing in finals and winning trophies, hopefully get the job done against Heswall on 1st May!
