Weekly Round Up 11/10/25

Match reports

1sts

Disappointing 2-2 draw against Rainhill who made it difficult for us. 2 points dropped although could have been worse, with us scoring an equaliser last kick of the game.

MOM Rich Tomasson, goal and assist for the big fella

Reserves

Connor Bagby

Lost 4-1 at Great Sutton.

Connor Bagby scored for us with an excellent finish.

3rds

Thunderthirds strike again with back to back wins in a convincing away win to Cestrian Alex. Should’ve been out of sight in the first half but a professional job in the second to seal the much deserved 3 points.

MOTM Cal Caulfield 2 assists

4ths

4ths had a great 3-1 win over Poulton Vic’s,

2 great finishes from Richard Birtwistle and a floated lob from Matty Griffith

Vets

Vets game was a weird 2-2 draw filled with missed chances and bizarre goals. A very early penalty saw us take the lead then an equaliser from a corner was followed by a kick down field by James which hit the oppo on the back and trickled into our goal.

Our equaliser was a ghost goal which was given by VAR - a man walking his dog behind the goal! Probably a fair result overall.

6ths

Simon Taylor

The 6ths had a tricky afternoon away to Woolton vets losing 8-1. We were 6 nil down at half time and although it would have been easy to feel sorry for ourselves we collectively gathered our thoughts and committed to an entertaining 2nd half losing 2-1.

It certainly was a game of two halves and technically some say we won on the next goal scored rule a great effort from Simon Taylor and without goal line technology it's difficult to say who scored as both Simon and Marek will claim it

It was great to see 10/11 back at their pub for sarnies and a pint afterwards
